Quality Test & Inspection - Job Description Flexible on the schedule - can start as early as 7am or 8am Purpose: Perform, evaluate and document product testing as defined by the Quality Engineer, Engineering Group and General Manager, to insure all products used in bat assembly meet or exceed defined quality parameters. Participate in the 'Incoming Inspection' process, as needed, to maintain the product flow required to sustain the production goals. Required Skills: 1. Must have high school diploma, GED and 2 years equivalent experience in related job. 2. Good time management skills (requires prioritizing tasks to meet production requirements). 3. Strong communication skills (written & verbal skills required for documenting test results, writing 'non-conformance reports' and participating in 'MRB/NCR defect/reject disposition' discussions). 4. Ability to take ownership for mistakes (individual must be able to build on strengths and work on deficiencies). 5. Ability to comprehend and execute basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, etc.). 6. Ability to learn the UTM operation, including the ability to set test parameters in MTEST software. 7. Ability to learn electronic inspection equipment operation. Take measurements with; tape measure, micrometer and calipers. 8. Working knowledge of Microsoft; Excel, Word, Windows XP. 9. Ability to learn MTEST, Ashlar-Vellum Graphite V7 & SAP production software. 10. Ability to read and interpret engineering specification sheets and drawings. 11. Mechanically inclined with good problem solving & trouble shooting skills. Principal Accountabilities: 1. Insure that all 'In-house' tests are performed 'as defined' by the engineering group. 2. Insure that all 'In-house' tests are performed timely, to meet production requirements. 3. Insure that all failures/defects/rejects are documented and communicated to the responsible person(s). 4. Enter all SAP transactions in a timely and accurate fashion. 5. Responsible for balancing test duties and inspection duties to meet production requirements. 6. Responsible for data collection & analysis for new products & tests. 7. Take responsibility for inventory accuracy. 8. Perform routine maintenance on machines. 9. Participate in process improvement activities. 10. Insure all safety guidelines are followed in the test / inspection areas and constantly think of ways to reduce/eliminate hazards.
